August 24th, 2007U.S. Open Preview

The U.S. Open is just around the corner. Could this finally be the year when someone other then Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal wins a Grand Slam? Probably not…but there is always hope.
Ahhh, who am I kidding? Federer is my favorite tennis player since Pete retired. No one has dominated the game of tennis like Roger. If he can crush Nadal in a French Open, then it will be the consensus that Federer is the greatest tennis player to ever play the game. The man is going to end up with 20 Grand Slams by the time he’s finished.
Just take a look here at the last 10 Grand Slam competitions:
| 2007 | Wimbledon | Federer |
| 2007 | French | Nadal |
| 2007 | Australian | Federer |
| 2006 | U.S. | Federer |
| 2006 | Wimbledon | Federer |
| 2006 | French | Nadal |
| 2006 | Australian | Federer |
| 2005 | U.S. | Federer |
| 2005 | Wimbledon | Federer |
| 2005 | French | Nadal |
Notice a recurring theme?
Roger is simply the man. If he was from the USA, he would be larger then life. I’m talking like Lebron James style. The guy would be on every commercial and billboard in the country. He’d be like Andy Roddick circa 2002 except actually good.
